Hi, I'm building a model of a F2007, and my reference pictures show that the car changed colour mid-season. Which colour did they use at Silverstone and Indionapolis, and what were the visible differences between these races? Thanks, Jake
Suggest you search in the "Collectibles, literature & models" section for "F2007" - You'll get many hits and much information - Probably more than you want! [When did the wheel spats first appear? for example.] Enjoy the build - They did indeed run a "funky" (and now duplicated in a two part) color part of the year. Cheers, Ian
They went from Rosso Corsa to Rossa Scuderia. Rosso Scuderia is typically achieved by doing a base of gold and a top layer of translucent red from Tamiya (X-27)
Not arguing, but gold or silver? I think I still have the Tamiya magazine build, and IIRC the base was silver, not gold? OTOH, the top layer may not have been X-27 either..... Search is your friend! Cheers, Ian
The combo i saw was gold with the translucent red on top. I have also seen the red. There was also a company that sold little bottles of almost EVERY ferrari color.
They did not go from Rosso Corsa to Rosso Scuderia. They went from Rosso Scuderia to a new color called Rosso nuevo and then back to Rosso Scuderia for 2008. Rosso Nuevo is now available on the road cars as a triple layer paint option for a cost of 28KUSD. Rosso Scuderia is a color that was developed by the factory at the request of PM, additionally Rosso Scuderia shows up much closer to Rosso Corsa on TV.
