6 elements just inboard of the endplate. Ferrari have really impressed with their development work this season. Even if Ferrari do not win the WCC, they certainly deserve recognition as they turned F2012 around which was a machine no one believed could be tamed.

And I remember when front wings were just an inverted airfoil with a flat endplate. Sheesh.....

At some point in the race part of it will be knocked off.

And the driver won't notice the difference.

Ferrari brought a raft of updates & I posted a lengthy list of them w/ links in the other thread. One other thing to note about this fw is also the additional exit hole on the endplate making 5 in total now... And though we can't see it here, there are also additional rakes / flow vanes on the underside to condition and direct the air more consistently.

They also had a version of this fw with additional gurney flaps on the topmost cascades.

What matters is RESULTS. And looks like Ferrari went backwards with all the changes. Hope that somehow they make all of that work tomorrow and Sunday. Alonso needs to be on the podium again, or this will be over. Well, it might be pretty much over if he finishes behind Vettel again... barring catastrophe, of course. Seems like a rookie is heading Ferrari's technical department, now running 0.8sec behind Vettel :(. We'll find out soon enough in quali how good they are. Good luck Ferrari.
