I am the proud owner of a recently acquired 328GTS post ABS model. On checking the spare wheel I notice it is a pre-ABS wheel. The dealer is looking into it as he believes the pre-ABS alloys will fit on my car? Anyone any thoughts?

Now I have found this site I will search more about the car but would also be interested to hear if the following is normal:-

2nd/3rd Gears are very difficult to engage until warm

Slight oil leak on cool down

Great site - just adds to the ownership experience (which 3 weeks in has been great!) - famous last words!!

You should have a space saver spare not a full size spare.

2nd gear being stiff to get into until warm is quite common... but not normally 3rd gear.

Many F-cars (and italian cars in general) have small leaks, but almost all leaks can be tracked down and fixed.

Besides FChat being a great resource, you should also consider joining the Ferrari Club (www.FerrariClubofAmerica.org).

"...he believes the pre-ABS alloys will fit on my car? Anyone any thoughts?" -- they will fit the hub as the bolt circle and the hub diameter are the same, but the (+) offset on the non-abs wheel is much less so it will stick out about 2" further or so on your abs chassis. I don't know if the wheel bolt lengths are compatible, but you could compare wheel bolt PNs at the FerrariUK site (as well as price the proper spare wheel/tire to set the $ refund the Seller should give;)).

PS -- at least add location (country or continent) to your Profile.
