A gentleman on the F355 forum was wanting to know how to test a vertical accelerometer prior to fitment. On the F355, the accelerometer is mounted behind the front fender and not easy to access.

I determined that there are 3 different voltages going to the 4 pin plug on the accelerometer. This seems overly complex for such a basic unit (assuming it is only a single axis device). Would anyone know how these voltages are used inside this Magneti Marelli "SA11" unit? Google was no help ;)

Pin "A" receives 12vdc (battery voltage)
    Pin "B" is a ground/earth
    Pin "C" receives 2.5vdc (Bilstein suspension unit-supplied. Pin A9)
    Pin "D" receives 2.5vdc (Bilstein suspension unit-supplied. Pin A16)

    Thanks.
