My steering was off centre to the left so was re-centralised when it was at the dealer.
Just had new tyres and a geometry check. After new tyres, it is now off centre to the right.

What is the correct way to re-centre it.? Is it where the alignment tyre place can do. Simple job?
    Thanks

A proper alignment is how it is usually done.

They start with centering the steering wheel normally, and work from there to spec of alignment.
But just new tires cannot alter the steering geometry, as it is not touched with just removing the wheels and installing them again with new tires.
Are you sure that they did not just check geometry, but also worked on it?

It was originally centre. Had new suspension a few yrs ago and gradually it went off centre, towards left. I then had it re-positioned in the centre at the dealer. Last wk had news tyres and found it's moved now a little to the right. While it was having tyres fitted, i had the alignment checked and it was off and need to be reset which the say they can do by their hawkeye machine.
I think the original position of the steering is the correct one.
My question is whether any alignment station can do that. Is it a matter of repositioning the steering wheel or does it more complex or adjusted by the steering rack. .. bearing in mind it may get erropr codes if disconnected unless the battery is disconnected.

You adjust the steering rack ends one way on the left and the other way on the right.

They checked and i have to go back to have it re-aligned...i am wondering if it is a simple job for them or do i need to take it to a ferrari dealer?
They checked it, not sure what they did.

With the right data, any good alignment shop can do it. Data is in the WSM.
But do you trust your car to a backstreet normal outfit?
I would prefer a racing shop , brand/speciality is of no importance. They just need to know what they are doing. No need for an official dealer.
