I've fitted my car with Fabspeed headers, and now my original failed headers are ready for a new home.

    Came off my US-spec 1998 355 F1. Good candidates for a T304 or 321 rebuild.

The LHS was fine when it last ran on my car.

The RHS has developed a leak, and the heat shield has been cut open for visual confirmation of failure. It has been repaired before (yellow arrows), but sections are collapsing again (red arrows) and a leak was clearly audible when it last ran on my car.

I've only got a picture of the RHS since that is the failed one. Will get a pic of the LHS if requested, but it looks just like any other OEM header, still covered by the heat shield.

Located in California. Prefer to sell as a pair. Asking $800 + shipping.

great visuals on the repaired and collapsing sections... but where is the leaking or crack..?

what audible cues did you have that it was leaking..?

Jesus, I didn't get any notifications about this thread.

I cannot pinpoint the leak visually, even after spending a good minute or two examining it.

The audible cues were a much louder low-frequency exhaust noise, but I could not pinpoint it from listening in the engine bay. It was more obvious coming out of the tailpipes.

That could also mean it's only collapsing and distorting the normal exhaust sound. A smoke test (or cutting off the other half of the heat shield still attached) would be necessary to confirm.
