    Hi guys

Always the way, you don't just get 1 fault, they come altogether like buses....

As well as alternator problems, my ABS on my 355 (1995 M2.7) is no longer working and the ABS light is constantly on, no matter if you push the button in the cabin to turn it on/off.

When I turn the ignition on all warning lights come on and go out as expected. The ABS light however flashes 3 times, goes off, and then flashes 5 times, and then stays on. I had a look at the workshop manual and that means an error code of 3.5 and says the following:
"Intermittent lack of signal due to faulty electronic contacts or occasional short circuit.
    Irregular ring gear movement.
    Excessive bearing play.
Gap too large or to small

    Check sensor resistance and continuity.
    Also check wires and connectors.
Check ring gear rotation, bearing gap and play."

Has anyone ever had this problem? It doesn't seem to one of the more common issues.

All the relays for the ABS and the ABS ECU look like they are under the carpeted area in the bonnet. I have never taken this apart, is it easy?

Finally, is there a fuse for power to the ABS circuit? (not the test one that is normally empty). These is no mention of it in the manual.

Do you know where the fuses for your relays are located? I just went through this on my 328. That system is a nightmare to diagnose. This was one of the most frustrating things to fix on my car. Sorry for the bad news.

To start, I think you need to verify if there is really a problem. Does the car seem to work correctly aside from the flashing? If all seems fine, reset the ABS ECU and see if it throws you some codes again. Do you know how do to this? I can explain for my 328, but unsure of the the relay locations on the 355 - that's where you need to access.

One thing you can look at relatively easily: what is the state of your sensors? I have seen this problem with Bosch ABS units circa 1997 and replacing the wheel sensor(s) showing wear solved the problem.
