    Ian, on the off chance that you’re not familiar with it, very high quality hose insulation is available in the aftermarket for use in race cars. I’m guessing you’re wanting to maintain originality, but if not you may very well find better solutions that are more readily available. I’ll see if I can dig up some Stateside links if it helps.

    Thanks, guys... I wasn't entirely sold on the tape types (even though they're probably more efficient), but that Summit Racing Thermoflex Aluminium Heat Shield looks OEM... perfect!
