    Hi guys,

The voltage drops below 12V for few mins when the car is warmed up and at particular high rpm range. It then goes back to 13.3v after awhile. This cycle keeps repeating. I think the voltage regulator failed again.
In fact it failed few months ago once. My mechanic installed a new voltage regulator and everything works fine. However, I don’t know which brand of voltage regulator he used.

I m thinking to replace the VR once again.

Some members suggest to use Denso OEM 126000-0400.

However, my old one taken out from the alternator is 126000-1500

Does anyone knows if they are just the same ?

Below is the pic of my old VR

    Thanks

Voltage regulators rarely fail. More often, it is the Rectifier that goes bad (blown diodes). However, since you have a fluctuating voltage, it may be just the carbon brushes.
