I know it says "new tunes" in the title and you are probably thinking..... alpine? becker?.... nope, Capristo. My other car is 600hp/tq with a DCT so this F355 is slow in comparison however I bought the car, as funny as it sounds, for the sounds. That sound I like requires the capristo. I know some like tubi and many will think I am crazy for taking out the tubi that is already in the car, but the whole reason for the car is the capristo sound at 8k rpm through a tunnel. An expensive sound I understand but it is what it is... Anyway, so this was in my garage waiting for me when I got home from my trip. Again due to my schedule I don't have enough time to do it myself, what an easy job that even I can do it but with an exhaust valve issue to troubleshoot and the install, it was just easier to meet some timelines for work if I just handed off the task.

Thanks Yellow Compass for getting it here hassle free.

Thanks Dave Rocks for your advice (and others too).

The 355 is the slowest car I have but also the most enjoyable.

It makes all the right noises. :)

FIFY! Just kidding, I've done that exactly 2.78 times. ;)

OP, if you liked the car with a Tubi exhaust just wait until you hear the Cap. Not sure of your cat situation but Hyperflows or straights will make both the Tubi and Capristo 10x better. Another thing to note is 4-2-1 headers will sound better than 4-1 headers in my experience but 4-1 might give better performance mid range which is a good thing for a road car IMO.

    Custom headers (4-2-1), Hyperflow cats...

The Tubi sounded fine. The exhaust valve isn't working so it surely could have sounded better. That will be fixed (a vacuum issue) and the capristo at the same time so it will go from, ho-hum to oh-wow.

I am hoping the Capristo at startup/idle is not much louder than my Tubi. The neighbors are about 15 feet from my car so, it's pretty close. They were fine with the Tubi. I think it's more that their neighbor has a Ferrari. Also, I don't take it out at 6am in the morning anyway.

The Capristo just has a nice tone at idle and bypass closed. But when it opens - all hell breaks loose :)

My preference is to not wake the neighbors next to me but when I get out on the main road, to wake the dead. Really, when I drive by at 8k RPM, people should be taking their bibles out and praying as they think it is the apocalypse and end of days. I'd like my personal license plate "apoclps" to be accurate. ;)

Actually the 4-1 will gain high rpm power at the expense of midrange. I agree and prefer the 4-2-1 sound as well.

Capristo is amazing on these, you will love it schnazzy.

Which sound level did you go with 1/3, 2/3, 3/3?

    So I was told they don't do the 1/3, 2/3 numbers anymore it's just 1 or 3. I got the 3.

Congrats! Obviously we will need some video evidence once the install is done! My Ferrari funds are gone for this year, but I definitely will be doing this next year.

What are the exact parts you bought and what was the total cost including install? Got to get my budget in order.

buddyg, there are a couple vendor/sponsors on this site that can get you a good deal on the exhaust. I know at least 1 person that is probably going to sell their level 3 Capristo and I'll let them post or not, that is up to them. I bought from Yellow Compass but Vivid is good too. I got the level 3. PM me if you want more detail.
