I agree Dave the carpets need swapped out. BH's prices are high but from what Ive seen their cars are pretty pristine. Id rather pay a few more $'s for that. They did ship it to me for free
Interesting comments on the F1 tranny. I know it doesn't cost me anything to say this, but I love barchetta red.
Not red, yellow, or regular black. I would consider any of the blues (there are many blues and they all vary- Eric's is one of three known Hyperion blue cars), green, Rosso Dino (there's one), and one of the one-off colors. Colors which are borderline off colors are the greys, metallic black, Rosso Barchetta, and some of the other shades. It all depends; I will probably just have to know the car when I see it.
Green? be careful with that - but you can probably get one real cheap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8YZzGaprtA
You know what the nice thing is? If I look at it and its ugly, I don't have to buy it. BTW, I would buy a 1995 (not F1, I know) in a cool color if one came up.
Well, there was a little bit of cajoling in prying that car from my clutches! At least I know it went to a good home. Fwiw, there was a gorgeous, white TB that was on the FChat classifieds about 1-2 months ago. I didn't think that I'd like white on a 355 but it looked fantastic.
It was a GTS. I would do a white B if I could get it. And yes, there was a little cajoling but look how happy your car is on these twisty Colorado roads! FYI, it's because I love the 348CH so much that I'm looking into adding the F355B. These are the last of the small, go kart Ferraris.
It's happy because: a) the only twisty roads in FL are highway on/off ramps, and b) it gets to haul your 155 lbs around instead of my . . . well, let's just say more than 155 lbs around.
Streetside Classics has a green one, I have no affiliation. I worked at a used car dealer across the street from them. Oops sorry just noticed you said Berlinetta. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Okay, clearly we are losing the plot here. Let's try this again: I am looking for a Berlinetta only, in an off color - not red, yellow, or ordinary black - or interesting color combo, possibly with an F1 but open to transmission choices. Special attention paid to 1995 and 1999 cars. On another note, I did see that Palm Beach car a couple of weeks ago with my brother in law. It's a fairly rough car, rougher than I want.
Still have the Argento 355B you sold me. Now lives in So. Cal. Drove it last weekend. Still a wonderful car. I can't even remember when I bought if from you. Probably over 10 years ago. Can't remember. Just replaced a rear wheel bearing. Still strong and sounding like a formula 1 car!
I'm also interested in an uncommon F355 GTB, but I'd prefer a 6MT. OP, hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread. Feel free to PM if you have any leads!
Scott, It was over 10 years ago. I was looking through the paperwork a month or so ago. It was a sad day for me to let it go but I knew it was going to someone who was going to love it as much as I did. It really is great that you still have it. Don't forget I have first right of refusal, still!
Hi everyone. I'm calling off the request for help for now as I think I've located a winner and a deal is coming together. Thanks to all who sent me cars. It's sincerely appreciated.
