Nothing special. I would go ahead and beef up the welds along that seam. Just add some spot welds along it. Grind them flat. Add your favorite filler and go from there for paint.
Yup, adding spot welds is the key. Bradan, a sponsor here, has shown that fix in detail with lots of pictures. It might be hard to find but it is in one of there service threads a couple years ago.
I've seen the whole seam welded from the underside to prevent it ever happening again. You pretty much have to do that during the major, though. If I ever address it on my car, that's when it will be.
Sand blast it good before applying filler, it may look rust free , but it 's there , sandblasting will ensure you got rid of all rust, then primer it , don't leave bare metal for any amount of time as it immediately starts to oxidize " serenity now "
Great thanks for your tips, will ask my body shop to do the spot wield. Any guys can show some pics of how it should be wielded . Really appreciate for help.

What is more surprising is seeing a 50's - 60's Fcar stripped to the bare metal. Get it close with the metal and then shape it with body filler was the M.O. It was shocking the first time I saw one naked.
Wow, these are extreme cases obviously. My 1995 355 GTB has C-pillar cracks but they are so thin and minor that a guy with good eye-sight won't see them until about 2 feet away. I have 50k miles on the car now after purchasing it with 25k! Will fix it at the next major.
Thanks for the info.... By the way is the spot wield be necessary, my body shop said the metal behind are in very good shape.. Spot wield just to prevent future cracks?
Yes the welds are adding strength to that weak spot, unless you want to see them fixing the cracks again in the future I'd have them do what's shown In those photos. It will add the strength it needs.
