Nice offer, and I am sure you are sincere, but I need to educate myself and be a big boy...LOL Tools needed are pricey for one time use; ring nut socket is 102., clutch alignment tool is 66., 8mm ribe is only 10. I think that's it for tools...??? Who sells the O rings and grease for the damper? It seems MD Clutches has closed? (I have a tool chest full of expensive one time use tools for Porsche, Mercedes, Bentley, etc....all needed at the time....)
clutch alignment tool is $8 on ebay for a plastic one. That ring nut socket may fit a few other things should you need it. Yes that's it. Not super cheap but less than $155 a shop would charge you to do it and then have no new tools at the end of it. Have they done it before, do they know will they realize to mark and clock the halves when back together. The large and small insert's are darn near the same, will they put it back correctly? No... this is definitely a DIY thing. MD Clutches retired yes. I bought last flywheel and rebuild kits from them. Measure them they buy a few that size and smaller a few steps from McmasterCarr. The small one you can get at Ace hardware usually.
+355, agreed! Much prefer my own work as I KNOW it will be done properly. Might take me a few days to do a 3 hours job, but it will perform AND look great! Do you have a source? Or, do you know dimensions/splines etc.? Finally, anyone know about those internal O rings and/or about MD Clutches? What about Mad Dog Clutches? Or are they the same store?
Mad Dog Clutches = MD Clutches. They retired a year ago. I think this was it, you can fine it cheaper as well. I found it for $8. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185001922970?hash=item2b12f9519a:g:la0AAOSwg8dhGu-u The internal o-rings, pull one out and check ace hardware for a match in their o-ring drawer.
