One on the cooling fan motors on my F355 is starting to fail. I contacted my local dealer and they said that Ferrari no longer offers just the replacement fan motors. The entire fan unit needs to be replaced. To make matters worse, in order to install the new fan uint on the passenger side of the car, a portion of the fender well also needs to be replaced to accomodate the new configuration. I'd like to avoid the hassle and extra expense of replacing the enitre cooling fan units and fender well. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase after market replacement motors that are the same as OEM? Does anyone know of a company that rebuilds the OEM fan motors? Thanks.

Every town has a local magneto shop that will be able to repair any failing electrical motor.

    Ditto what ND said.

Just take it to a reputable electic shop and have them fix the old one.

Check to see if it is a Bosch motor. If so, it's probably available separately. The typical 10 digit part number would be on the part.

The Fan assembly on the F355 is made by SPAL. If you want to buy one and bypass the Ferrari dealer I just did a Google search for it and found this link:

The option of having it rebuilt is also something to consider.

By the way, the left fan is the most important, the right one is a backup. So if the left one is working, you have time to replace the right one, if the left one isn't working you can switch them while you get the broken one fixed. I have done that, it works :)
