    Hello everyone,

My 99 F355B developed a rattle a few weeks ago and after a lengthy search we were able to track it down to my right cat as the source of the rattle at different RPMS depending ont he temperature.

I looked in my "Warranty Card and Owner's Service Book M.Y 1999", and it says :

The vehicle falls to conform at any time during a period of 2 years or 24000 miles, whichever occurs first, or with respect to specified major emission control components during a period of 8 years or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first, to the applicable emission standards of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as judged by an EPA-approved I/M test.

Then it says to make a claim, contact FNA, INC in New Jersey.

Wow, 8 years or 80K miles! Has anyone successfully replaced the cats under warranty ?

I installed a Tubi exhaust in February, is that going to cause a problem?

    Thanks for any help!

The problem is that it has to fail. The rattle is likely a loose matrix in the cat., but if it has not turned on the check engine lite it is still working. This is how Ferrari got out of replacing many cats. Post 95 cars had 2 o2 sensors on the cats. The front one was doing the FI adjusting and the rear sensor is looking for a cleaned up reading (cat working). Find a dealer that is customer friendly and maybe it can be pushed through on a good will basis, otherwise it must fail first.

Thank you Dave. I would think that Ferrari would not want their cars sounding like a broken Volkswagen. Now I have a Ferrari that performs and
    sounds like a Volkwagen :)

Anyone know a good person to contact at Ferrari of San Francisco ?
Also what are my aftermarket options?
