    Hi, i`m looking at buying a 1998 F355 F1 car thats done 24,000 miles = 38,000 KMS. I`ve owned manual gearbox F355`s but not owned one with the F1 gearbox. Can anyone tell me if the F1 gearbox is reliable............ thanks ...........

    Try the search feature for some threads, it's a good system but the oil pump is pricey if it fails...


    Lot's of doscussions in the specific "355 Section " down the page..

    Gearbox is basically bulletproof, I never read of failures here (F1 or otherwise). Only potential issue is the clutch wearing out faster, but luckily they're not that hard to replace.
