    Hello

I searched and found out that teh rattle that I hear after shutting off my 355 is the flywheel .
Does anyone have any pics of the removal and replacemnt of the flywheel and clutch ? All of the ones in the old treads do not work .
Is there any special tools i will need ?

    Thanks

    Bill

Does the rattle necessarily mean the clutch/flywheel is worn? All 355s make a slight crunching sound when the engine is switched off. How bad is your one?

It just makes a rattle , sounds like it is comming from the trans area.
I havent had the car for too long so not sure if this is right .

They don't all make that noise, although very common. The ones that need the flywheel servicd do. You must diassemble the flywheel..clean and repack with the propper grease (you get that from the dealer) and the propper amount..reseal it all back up with new o-rings. Yes there is a speacial tool needed to remove the large 'flange nut" that is available form Baum tools.

But is there any harm in not servicing it? Is it getting worn? Mine makes a very slight crunch sound when switching off, as did my previous 355 F1 and all of my mate's ones too...

Of course, there is only one dealer/service agent in HK so maybe we're all getting screwed...
