In my 355, the head light eye lids closes down when I turn the ignition off or turn the head light switch off, which I guess is normal. But if I want to exchange a bulb without having the lights on, how to proceed?

Turn the headlights on, and turn the battery switch off.

the other way is to take off the relays that operate the pop up mechanism's motor....it should be in the front trunk inside the fuse box...there should be the diagram in the lid of the fuse box on which relay relates to the said motor.....so turn on the lights, then remove the relays

I would have thought it would be easiest to simply remove the fuse/fuses for the lights, pop the lights up, change the bulb, lower the lights, replace the fuse/fuses and then just check the lights are now working?

Yes, that´s the other option but it feels as not the most proper way of doing it.

Well, another option... you could shut the battery off and turn the knob on the headlight motor to raise the headlights for service. ;)

Do you have your owners manual? It's in there also if you don't you can download one from All Ferraris

The battery knob is on the passenger side front Bonnet area under the square access panel.
Lift it off and it's under that, turn it too the off position. Battery is disconnected.

Right hand side of the front trunk.

Remove the access cover.....under the cover is the knob that says "OFF" and has an arrow on it. Twist it and the battery is disconnected.

Download and print the manuals that Phrogs posted. Invaluable reference material.

Thanks, but I meant the knob for the headlights. There is a picture in the manual, but not easy to fully realize where its located.

Well, if you are compelled to do it that way...and I have no idea why you would, the knob is on top of the headlight motor.

Open the front hood and look down between the back side of the headlight housing and the front of the trunk, there is a black knob on the motor.

With the battery on, reach in and turn it enough to trigger the a cycle of the headlight pod.

With the battery off you can turn the knob and the headlight pod will move up and down as you desire.
