    Hi guys,

I am beginning the process of hunting down my first Ferrari. As I mentioned in my last post, this forum has been tremendously helpful so thanks to all of you for your wealth of knowledge!!

I found this car (on eBay, but it's local to me). I am probably going over to take a look at it, and wanted to run it by you guys as well.

I typically have steered away from cars that have any extensive modifications from stock. But these do look like they were done well, and from what I see online they look quite nice.

But am looking for your collective feedback/thoughts too. Thanks in advance.

    Nice car
Nice wheels, nice seats, great brakes. Expensive but nice. If it was a coupe is be all over it.

Thank you. If you find that thread (I tried) I'd really appreciate you posting it.

As for that other 355 you posted, looks nice, thanks. I always get a bit nervous with the out of state cars bc I wonder how much it will cost me to get them smog-passed here in CA. I don't let it worry me too much, but when I see a CA car that's already passed (e.g. the one I posted at top), that is one concern I can cross off the list.

Appreciate you chiming in, thanks. I'm looking at coupes too but being in coastal LA am open to a spider. (Current DD is an Audi S5 Cab.)

To the OP, I think it's overpriced. These are classic cars and modifying them doesn't necessarily improve the value (I actually think modifying them could hurt the resealing value).
If you like it, make an offer and see what will happen.

Personally, I don't like that the seat back sticks out a bit too high (almost as high as the windshield frame).
The super low profile & super wide tires would transfer more vibrations in the body and I'm not sure how they would affect the handling. Notice that the set up now is extremely more staggered than before. One of the strongest points in the F355 was the handling so messing with it, isn't a good idea.
Also note that adding 3,5 lbs per wheel and extremely wide tires it will slow the car down.

I'll send you a PM. I think you can find a better car out there for multiple reasons.

I agree entirely - that's probably primary basis for my concern on the mods. Cosmetically speaking they actually look better than 90%+ of the modifications I've seen. But I'm sure they hurt resale value.

Thanks so much. All stuff to keep in mind when (if?) I go look at it.

The seats being too high was one of the comments made in the thread I was referring to.
