I am trying to resurrect my F355 Interior Hazard Switch by replacing the blown illumination LED.
This is the small Red LED light that illuminates the Round Interior Button switch when the parker lights are activated by the column pop up light stalk.

This is an LED , unlike the other light in the switch that is a Halogen and is activated by depressing the switch which flashes all 4 indicator lights at once.

The problem is , that unlike halogens.. LED are polar.. and To put in a new illumination LED requires knowledge of the pinouts. By contact tracing i know pin 2 and pin 3 go to the LED.

    Vehicle is a 96 5.2 Spyder

    PIN 1 = Purple/Black
    PIN 2 = Black
    PIN 3 = Yellow/Red Stripe
    PIN 4 = Blue/Black

Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the pin-outs for the hazard switch..?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Yes this is the most ergonomic and economically viable option.
However what I failed to mention is that I am currently undergoing an Interior LED conversion of all the switches in the vehicle to a brighter OEM green color.
As part of this upgrade to ensure consistency, I also need to upgrade the brightness of the OEM Red LED switches (Hazard/Sports suspension)- hence the need to replace the blown LED. My only obstacle is the polarity.. Its so hard to solder inside the switch that I want to get it right the first time rather than do it again.

Yellow/red (GR) wire is the positive.

Yellow/red wires are used for most switch/panel background lighting.

For reference, blue/black (LN) is the signal from the Hazard/Flasher Module to make the incandescent bulb in the switch flash, violet/black (ZN) is the output to the Hazard/Flasher Module (to trigger the flashing) and black (N) is earth.

    Thanks Qavion..

I was going to test the polarity in the vehicle, but I was too scared i might blow something like I always do.. :(

So the next move is to replace the LED, but its pretty 'tight' in there..plus the +ve leg of the LED that goes under the diode.. is almost impossible to get to..

Has anyone ever taken these switches apart..?
Does the whole apparatus ( including the white cradle) come out when the plastic black bottom is removed.?

Not sure. I did change one of the diodes, but I can’t remember if I had to completely disassemble the switch.
