I like them but they would have to fit with the overall design of the car. For example, might not look appropriate in my Challenge car but I know of a nice Japanese styled 355 that would look great with these.
I think the 355 has a timeless design, and these would give it a slightly more modernized look, like changing wheels. Easily reversible. And as spare parts dry-up we'll need more options like this especially for plastic parts.
Wrong approach by Morimoto. Very few 355 owners want their car to look digital, or to have random parts on it that look off a 2020's car instead of a 90's car. Should have made them stock appearance but with LED lighting.
So agree. I had Morimoto on my ZR1. Looked great and a huge safety improvement, so I lime the brand. But the 355 needs a more classic design. Smaller inner ring more like original as you were saying. I am ok with a “slight” update. I do have a feeling that a direct copy would bring out the Ferrari infringement police?? I would buy a set if more original and save mine safely tucked away. They look cool but the rest of the car would have to be modded and "modernized" as well to match. Can't just do the tails on an otherwise stock car...would look weird.
Cool idea. But also if you are going to do all that I feel like the center light strip should be addressed at the same time. Otherwise it is even more obvious they are not stock.
I really dig them. The car pictured is the same color as mine too, so it gives me a really good view of what it'll look like. I keep my car essentially stock, but changes like this are easily reversible and the 355's design can easily handle some modernizing, most people think it's new anyway.
I like the modern look of these, but strongly dislike that they get rid of the original lighting functionality. The inner and outer tail lights should have completely different functionalities. They lost me when the car was put into reverse and all FOUR lights flipped white in the video. That just looks stupid. The outermost should only be park/turn, and the inner ones should be stop/reverse, as Ferrari intended. If they did that, I'd be far more interested.
From what I gathered...that function is optional if you install it using the signal splitters. Maybe they should clarify that, because I agree with you.
