I know you said to ignore BAT, but check it for recent results. A few yellow spiders have been listed.

thanks. We don’t have bat over here; or snthing like it for the info it holds.. Didn’t realise it held such a load of information and details on cars sold.

seems those prices are all over the place!

I think I am going to try BaT and see how it goes. I don't want to sell my car, but I am working to get my new business going and the car is perfect now so it comes down to a market timing thing. 355s are hot right now, and I think they may be coming into their own. I am sure it will just another regret in a long list for me.

But several Red/Tan Berlinettas and Spiders bid but did not sell or sold at 1/2 that final price on bat let alone dealers and ebay etc. There is more to it....

Need more than 1 auction to see if its a trend. Last year a 355 sold for 110k and people freaked. After that sales went back down to mid 70's never to repeat. To get as high as it did that means more than 1 guy wants to pay that much. That's good. If the other guy shows up at the next one but no other guys wanting to pay that much show up, its bad and its back down. So we need a gaggle of buyers in the market at the time with deep pockets.

Will be fun to watch, lets hope for a trend!

The good news is it looks like there were 4-5 bidders all the way to $150k then it was battled out between 2.

    I think it should be 2x but hey, that's a start :)

More comparable to a 993 RS IMO

Also, I've seen more GTBs go up for sale recently than I have GTSs - GTSs are the rarest and this price represents that. I don't think we should all nitpick this - we should just be excited we own one and that prices are starting to move up as other appreciate this car for what it is.

only takes 2 bidders to drive a price like this. But this didn't seem like *that* nice of a car did it? paint meter readings looked like a respray. they never addressed sticky button questions. needs a service. not saying its awful. but not a record setting car is it?
