I agree and have noted the same except I really dislike the red carpets. I think I would have ordered one new just like Ivanca's. Black carpet.

Now if her Daddy becomes president...😉

If that is F1 Moving's car, which was purchased several months back, and now being re listed for significantly more in pretty much exact same form... Then are these cars being bought at higher values by collectors and enthusiasts or speculators?

That was his car. I know the vin.

Who knows how it went down. Someone may have offered the buyer a quick 10k profit and on it goes. Strike while the market is hot.

I'm not sure how it works in other states, but CA buyers seem to be at a disadvantage. Sales tax or DMV tax of roughly 10% goes out the door as soon as you buy a car. So offering 10k to a buyer in CA who just paid $10k in sales tax for a $100k car probably wouldn't be enough to entice the buyer to sell. Wouldve have to $20k + , which is quite a bit. Very curious how it works in other states.

I don't know. A 430 was in play but I'm not sure that happened.

That car had a major done by Dave Helms before he owned it and he had a major done by a quality shop in Columbus right before he sold it. I believe it's a minty example.

you have to pay sales tax where you live except in the few states with no sales tax.

What about cars purchased from a private party? In Ca, you dont pay sales tax from private party transactions, but they get you for 10% at the DMV when they ask you how much you purchase your car for.

The other thing is that you have to pay if you take delivery of a car in California even if you live someplace else. I just bought a car from CNC and was thinking of driving it to the national meet in Monterey and I was told that unless it was being shipped to me out of state, I would be whacked for the fee. Ridiculous.

That red one in Vancouver maybe the same one that had its engine rebuilt. The insurance company paid close to $40k to get it fixed. The owner had only had it a little while before the incident.

    What was the incident?

Was this car at Ferrari of Vancouver for a few months? I saw a 355 with Challenge Grill on the hoist there for at least a month, maybe two every time I would drive by.

On a related note, and please excuse the rookie question, has the ratio of used dealer to private party listings been heavily weighted towards the former through somewhat recent history over the past 5 years or so? I've really only started paying close attention this past season, since I'm looking at a first foray into the 348/355 world. Just looking for a little historic perspective, not that it would necessarily change the purchase of a car.

There seem to be a lot more at dealers over the past year than in years prior. Seems to be in line with the values increasing - they want to get their profit on the way up.

Definitely a lot more dealers involved in the 355 market now compared to last year when I started looking.
