Yes, but I think the GTB is Capristo 3 and the GTS was Capristo 2…. Cannot say for certain. I know the GTB with Forza open is very loud. The GTS came on just right. The Forza closed is super quiet.

Stage 2 is the one to have. And being a GTS it’s the sweet spot for the open top with the sound that’s not over the top.

I believe you are describing how a Capristo generally sounds on a 2.7 and 5.2 car. On 2.7, loud F1 pitch with valve open, not much happening when valved closed.

Nice! I, too, was in a Smoking Tire video when I had my CL55 four years ago.

My F355 Challenge silencer has no valve and is just plain loud...

...That Gallardo following me sounded pretty nice. :)

Though for a minute that was the 95 I almost bought back in 2012, but it's a 98. Otherwise, identical car, with 7k more miles on it, and a 68% price increase. Wouldn't have been much of an investment over 9 years. :)

I guess that depends on how many smiles per miles in those 7k.

I've put 11k on mine and never stopped smiling. :D Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed.

Ahhhh…. I did not think about 2.7 versus 5.2. Makes sense now. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sound! Just did not realize the Jekyll and Hyde difference with valve on or off was so extreme. All the 5.2 cars seemed more “balanced” for tone on throttle and no Forza controller.

Learn something everyday on Fchat. Thanks!

Was a manual GTB rosso on tan here in Canada with around 60,000km on it I tried to snag but it sold. Unknown service history but it sold for their asking $125k CAD within a few days.

Hence, the 355 is the first production car with an exhaust valve fitted?

The Smoking Tire video (4 years old) is worth a re-watch. He makes some nice predictions and for the most part, they’re on point.

2.7 car with 7k miles. Since U.S owners are hodl’ing, good time to bring them in from Europe. I’m assuming it’s easier under the 25 year rule to pick-up 95/96 cars. Euro spec show better imo.

This one has an odd interior combo I’ve never seen before. Tan w/black carpets, but lower dash in black. Very interesting look :).

RMCmiami. These guys aren’t Ferrari specialists. Incorrectly priced. Someone should snatch this up before they change their mind :).

Used set…. I have someone in Dallas, who restores Ferrari interiors that can make them. Pretty sure she has original material. She has an incredible inventory of Ferrari hides, carpets and miscellaneous. I know it is partially molded, but she works magic. Only thing stopping me is originality value, but then again, not sure I care. I have black floor mats and coco mats to change up looks, as well as a set of tan. I am transmat.

I bought a black 97 GTB which was built with tan carpets. When the original buyer went to pick up the car, he immediately had the dealer switch the tan carpets to black before he signed the papers. It least that’s what I was told…

like others have said, I don’t believe that OEM replacement carpets are still available.

Not sure how re-dying carpets work, but it seems like that would be the easiest solution to change carpet color to black? If the result is clean and looks more desirable, I doubt valuation would take a hit if any. This car didn’t do too bad :).

I really don’t like the tan in my car. I may just redo it all some day. My dream would be red interior with Daytona seat pattern. That would be my number 1 combo.
