Thanks Ken, hahaha…. Temporary whip…. Last year, because I am such a car nut, I got my Texas dealers license. Too much fun to not have lots of opportunities. Mainly focus on 997 Porsche’s - Manual S cars and 993’s. I have a nice little store front in Uptown Dallas and working towards the next stages of my business life. I bought my property and patience is my goal for growth and stability. But….I flipped my 2021 Bronco and will flip my Corvette. Market is too hot until it is not. Having conquered the Ferrari experience, I want another car. Has to be manual. The 355 is the best. A gated 430 is probably second best, but better investment converted even….. but the old guy in me likes the value of the Vette. But manual is where it is at! I just can’t have a warehouse of cars sitting around. For me, if I get some cash in the coming months, I will go back to the buyer of my 8500 mile GTB and let him name his price. Or the 96 GTS - Eddie’s old car. Those would be the only two 355’s I would buy if money was no object. I put the GTB money to good use, for my realestate and I remodel a few things at the house. I am only 50, so paying for two girls in college and business growth is my goal. I love the 355. Best cars I have owned for enjoyment and visceral driving experience. Want another, but has the fit the time and place…. I bet I pay way more in the future - Dammit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The C8 will still roll up next to you at a light and rev....at a 32 year old car. Because Ferrari. (like yesterday) sjd
I have a C8 Z06 on order...put a deposit down long before it was even announced. The Z06 Corvette almost always spanks any car within 3x the price range when it is released. This generation is arguably everything Ferrari fans want out of Ferrari minus a third pedal. Flat plane, high revving, high horsepower, naturally aspirated, mid engined v8...for 1/3rd or less the price of the new 296GTB. It will never be a Ferrari...it would still probably be the first car in my garage that I would sell....but there's no arguing the C8Z is going to check a lot, A LOT, of boxes on most peoples lists. There's no surprise it has had the highest demand of any Corvette ever...I suspect it's bringing in new buyers of the Chev brand along with it.
In case you missed it, this low mile '95 Spider did really Bonhams Scottsdale last week. $200K + fees. Still will need heads at some point. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/27328/lot/62/?category=list&length=96&page=1
"Highly original, well-preserved example with less than 900 miles from new" !!! I'm thinking 900 mi 95 car... I'm rushing to save pics before they disappear. This is a TIME CAPSULE. As I'm saving pics, I'm already seeing weird stuff done to the car . I'll save you guys the hassle. Image Unavailable, Please Login It's got a weird dash/door color scheme going on. Did Stevie Wonder spec this? Full black dash. Door cards are two tone but with black carpet.... WHAT???
Strange that car have a lot carbon wrap interior + speedo have carbon thats not OE for 95 car? Also as pointed out dash under part is complete black but door is 2x tone. Steering wheel also put new trim on + aftermarket stereo + aftermarket floor mats and the gold foil Why would anyone do all this stuff to car that have real 900 mi from 95
Weirdest Y-pipe I’ve ever seen. Has a few random holes already drilled into the lateral engine covers.
There are a lot of strange issue with that car. Not that some weren't possible options (dash and interior) but door sills, also it has the newer PS tank. It is a November 95 build date, which would be well into the 96 model year for NA cars. Also, I've see cars with XX 1996 build dates that have the old style PS tank. Just doesn't look like it left the factory that way. Also, the write up say the original owner put about 600 miles on the car and the 2nd owner 721. Last I check the "old math" says that 1321 miles. Where are the tool, car cover..... This don't add up.
Not just weird mods, but bizarre ones. Why put gold foil on the underside of the engine lid? To do what, reflect more heat back into the engine bay?
Another thing that struck me as odd was the seat leather. The leather on the bolsters is glued to the foam. Yet the leather on this car (on right) appears loose. (Compare to my car on left. ) Frankly, it looks like it's be reupholstered. Look at the fit of the side plastic piece. No way the car left the factory like that. I won't say it, but you know what I'm thinking. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I found this offer on AutoScout24. https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/ferrari-f355-berlinetta-gasoline-blue-d15b88a7-d961-4efc-81b0-2ac246a17a93?utm_source=android-share Mileage: 46,000 km First registration: 12/1995 Final price: € 125,000.- Very nice spec. Sent from my SM-G981W using Tapatalk
Meh, every 25 year old car with more than a couple thousand miles has a story....the only questions are: 1. Does the seller know what it is? 2. If yes, is he honest enough to tell a buyer? 3. If no, can the buyer discover it on their own?
Yes. Noticed that too but, as I said, that could be the build spec. The seats, however, look redone. And in the engine bay, where is the emission sticker? The antifreeze sticker? Why the "silver ring" around the PS tank? Non came that way, AFAIK. So many question on a 900 (?) mile car. And why isn't it Swaters Blu? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Damn! I will never forget an ad on Autoscout Switzerland I saw some years ago: mega pristine berlinetta, manual, tan interior, from Garage Ruch, with 39.000 km for 59.000 francs. I don't need to say I didn't buy it.

Shortly after the F355 Berlinetta was introduced, Ferrari released a Spider variant that with over 500 additional hours of wind tunnel testing and additional bracing produced astonishingly similar performance figures to the closed car. For 1999, Ferrari introduced a limited production of F355 Spider models designated, "Serie Fiorano". Both the Serie Fiorano and the F355's successor, the 360 Modena, were launched at the 1999 Geneva Auto Show. This limited production run of 100 planned units (it is reported that104 actually were produced) included a number of enhancements increasing the race track performance closer to the Ferrari Challenge versions. Among the features seen on the exclusive Serie Fiorano cars are Competizione-derived Fiorano suspension pack, with wide track, stiffer springs, lowered ride height and a stouter anti-roll bar; cross-drilled and ventilated brake discs and competition brake pads in red calipers; Competizione-sourced steering rack; Challenge rear grilles; enameled Scuderia Ferrari shields; suede-covered steering wheel; numerous carbon fiber elements such as inserts on the center console and door sills. It is reported that there were 100 Serie Fiorano units delivered to the U.S. market. Of those, 74 were delivered with the F1 transmission and 26 with the six-speed manual. This well-kept and sparingly driven example is one of the scant 26 with the traditional manual gearbox. Among the equipment is a power top, power windows, air conditioning, radio with CD and power assistance on the aforementioned competition-oriented steering setup and four-wheel disc braking system.
