As long as we're off on a tangent, I'd like to post pictures of the steering wheel I have in my 1995 F355 Challenge. The original airbag wheel was removed when Peter Sachs raced it in the North American Ferrari Challenge Series in 1995 as a quick release was mandated. The car came to me like this...

Peter Sachs was kind enough to autograph it...

I replaced it with this momo Competition wheel and added the spoke-mounted push-to-talk switch to replace the Velcro-secured switch...

Both are 350mm wheels. As was the yellow tape, the momo embroidery is a helpful visual cue as to the wheel's position when I'm on the track.

My car came with the early 2.7/Euro wheel. I liked it but I didn't love it.

In addition to being in slightly tatty condition, the rim of the wheel just felt a little too thin for me.

I replaced it with a rare MOMO Zagato Design wheel, which works well with the design of the dash behind it. If I can find a way to have the 2.7 wheel recovered, I may put it back on at some point.

After seeing pics of a couple of these (not the steering wheel), I have to ask - Was there an upper dash that had neither an airbag, nor a glovebox?
Simply recovered after filling the structure underneath?

No. His car was custom done to remove what was there.

    Yes and Yes, and no.

The MOMO Zagato design steering wheel was originally OEM on the Alfa Romeo SZ/RZ, aka Il Mostro. And Yes it was used on a limited edition NSX. They were also available in the aftermarket but not very widely distributed. I have seen aftermarket ones with and without the Zagato branding.

Mine came from a wrecked SZ.

The center pad is easily removed. I know of someone who had a center pad go missing at a car show : (

I wasn't planning on selling now, but another unicorn has entered the picture. When an irreplaceable vehicle comes up for sale, you have to pull out all the stops. She's ready for the next owner to drive and enjoy.

Looks pretty cool. Congratulations on a successful hunt!

Now you just need the F50 carbon shift knob. ;)

How does the wheel feel? Any difference in steering feedback? Are you getting more feel through the wheel?

It's a huge improvement. The wheel feels small and light and makes it seem as if the whole steering it lighter.

That’s the same steering wheel that is in the Alfa SZ! (I own two of them…)

(Edit: saw that this was mentioned above.)

Another exceptionally clean driver sells in the mid $100s. Unless buyers are really motivated to buy a sub-20k mile, US spec or perfectly spec'd car, I think we can safely say the market has cooled since '21. There may be $200k examples out there, but I think owners are holding onto those.
