[QUOTE="ShineKen, post: 149289019, member: 52186" Stradale Vintage Cars Netherlands. Owner is a passionate diehard fan of the 355 and owner himself. View attachment 3573022 View attachment 3573023 View attachment 3573025 [/QUOTE] That is a nice collection of 355’s, not to mention the 512TR.
I don't even want to know what they are asking for that carbonio 355. It's been on their website for several years. That Pozzi/tan GTB looks like a steal nowadays!
From my mental notes, no one in the U.S ordered a Blu 355 with tan carbon sport seats. I have a record of one with cream sport seats, that’s about it. That’s the great thing about 355’s…variation. Every once in a blue moon you come across one different enough worthy of gawking over. When it’s rare… it’s RARE.
Hi, I’ve listed my Verde British Racing manual 1995 spider for sale here on fchat https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/1995-f355-spider-manual-verde-british-racing-for-sale.682311/
Apparently, the Ferrari F355 was voted Top Gear Magazine’s “Car of the Year” in 1994. This is completely new information to me. Never seen anyone bring it up. In the same token, why am I not surprised ?
I'm guessing because Top Gear Magazine was brand new in 1994 and wasn't really on anyone's radar. The show had been running for almost 20 years on BBC, but I think was relatively unwatched stateside until YouTube and streaming made it much more accessible.
This sale typifies the BaT bidders. I think the Barchetta spider was a much nicer combo and in better condition (Admittedly I didn't dive into either auctions' details.) I understand wanting a specific color combo, but a 30% increase in bid seems ludicrous to me. I will concede that extremely rare paint schemes (done well... not Matt Farrah's 1/1 718 Spyder) can command higher premiums, but both of these combos are relatively common in the F355 world. Not my money. I'm too pragmatic, I guess!
Details are here. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/top-gear-celebrates-30th-anniversary-with-best-cars-from-each-year-ferrari-f355-makes-the-cut.682467/#post-149305457
Man, that Spider at $133k was strong plus the fee! Sold mine too cheap, LOL. Nice bump for market. My GTS was accepted at Amelia for Saturday. Going to Ferrari in October for Classiche and service. Then, per Shineken and EFerrari34, will dry ice it. Then it’s first ever color correction. Should be spectacular. Plan on keeping as original as possible in every way. Should be show ready by December. Never been before. Trying to figure it out. Not sure what to do with trailer? We have a VRBO on the beach nearby but no parking. So any info or helpful connections appreciated. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In reference to the above, it is absolutely incredible (if not insane) the difference these cars bring with a manual v. F1.
The price ranges are even greater when you compare the F1/Manual sales of the 360 Modena, 430, and 575M, 599, and 612.
Manuals engage the driver to a higher degree than flippy-paddles; and are thereby worth more. As the percentage of manuals diminish, their rarity increases, and they become worth more.
Not necessarily true. F1 with manually blipping the downshifts is just as engaging and very unique. F1 cars are also more rare.
In the F355 realm, maybe, in the 360, 430, 458,... realm; no. In the F355 realm an F1 with original clutch plate is rare indeed, not so for manual.
Whether or not The clutch plate being replaced isn’t what I commented on. I drove my Challenge Stradale and 355 F1 back to back last week. The CS blips the throttle automatically on downshifts. The 355 doesn’t, or doesn’t enough. The 355 allows you to manually blips the throttle on downshifts, overriding the computer. That’s the difference and the reason the 355 F1 ( 1st generation F1) is so cool and engaging. It will go down in history as the only Ferrari that provides this experience. It’s epic when properly executed.
Lots of discussion already on this one in the comments. One comment about a bad leak down test... but I commented back, I'm confident it's just typical carbon buildup and it will likely remedy itself after a proper drive. Id buy it
I dislike the black back-drops for these photoshoots. Here a pics of the car at a shop I recently visited just last week. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car appears to be equipped with the Delta Vee Sport Suspension ($4k worth.) Delta Vee still owes me $$$. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey guys … I’m looking at 98 GTS F1, off market sale, 45k miles, Red w/ Tan… fully serviced at Ferrari Dealer in 2020 (engine out, clutch, everything minor), new Tires 2021 - in really good condition … With the huge variance in pricing, what’s a good price for this ? I know it car dependent, but for a good/solid Rosso Red/Tan F1 GTS?
