How long after start up should the oil pressure light stay on? If I haven't riven te car for a few days it can take 4 or 5 seconds for it to go off. If ihave been diving the car it goes off right away.
Is it better to let the car idle untill the light goes off or should I raise the RPM a little to get the pressure up?

Thats normal...just wait until the pressure goes up on it's own..don't rasie the car off idle.

    Agree with Tom...

As for warm up....on the first cold start of the day I let it idle until the air pump goes off (2 min maybe?) before driving...just a habit of mine when I was a young gear head. Back in those days we gauged the warm up time by the length of time it took to "roll one up"...if you got my drift...
    :)
    Don't do that anymore BTW
