I was hoping it was not that or the flywheel. At least they found the issue sometimes these cracks are very hard to locate and or overlooked. Good luck
****, sorry mate! I must have missed it. If there was a noise there, then yes....................I am glad to hear you had it inspected straight away. I must have missed it and just read about the pedal pulsating once. No noise, no more pedal pulsating which is why I said to keep an eye on it yourself. If I noticed you said there was a noise there, then I would have reccommended having it checked it out. My apologies. Be sure to let us know what happens when they open it up. It could be a noisey/siezed TO bearing making that noise. I am still not sure about the cracked pressure plate, but we will soon see.
Looks like the issue is not as bad as initially thought. There was some fluid leaking when the pumpkin was opened, but not really badly. They saw that the shaft that the throwout bearing is on had a bit of rust and this lack of lubication must be the squeaking sound. The t/o bearing looked fine as did the clutch and pressure plate. They'll replace the bearings in the flywheel. So far it appears that the triple seals need to be replaced, but I opted to also have the other O-rings and gaskets replaced as well while they are in there.
