I’ve refurbished 3 sets of F355 turn signals to create new clear units (part 157511 and 157512). These were made by silicone mold casting with a crystal clear UV resistant resin. I’m re-using the housing from old orange turn signals. I’d like to continue working on this project and make more parts. Therefore, this will be a core part exchange. Please send me your old turn signals (they are very easy to remove and literally held in by one bolt) and payment, and I will send you one of these refurbished sets. On your old set, the outer lenses may be cracked or pitted but the inner lens and housing must be in good condition. I’ve verified the lenses for UV and scratch resistance. These were hand made involving many hours of labor. Some of the silicone work on 1 or 2 of the units is not 100% beautiful but they are water tight and once these are mounted on the car, you will only see the lenses which have a very high quality OEM-like finish. For buyers in North America converting from orange units, I will include complimentary new orange bulbs. Thanks for looking! hah perfect! maybe making parts for a 599 would be more lucrative :/ first set is sold! 2 more available at the moment
Okay, Well I definitely want a pair. Could you put me down for a pair now? I can pay you now or when they are ready, whichever. Cheers,
I definitely want a pair also, so put me down for them. I can send you a core pair whenever you need them. Let me know when you expect to have them ready.
Some finesse and some brute force . I destroyed a few parts trying to figure out how to best do it... the parts are heat welded together and are not meant to come apart, so carefully cutting the lenses off with a Dremel tool (being careful to not damage the inner lens) is the only practical way.
I'm considering to make a few more of these. They do take quite a bit of time... The challenge of just seeing if I could pull this off kept me going for a while but now I'll probably need to raise the price a little otherwise I'm just not finding the motivation to sacrifice my weekends. I did have some extra lenses from an earlier batch and just assembled one set-- there is an informal waiting list going of 3-4 people. When sets do become available I'll post on here.
I’ll take a set 100%. Just to need to know when to pony up even if on wait list. Love these over orange originals on my ‘98 355. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
OK, I will keep this effort going. Will be a few weeks after I get the next core parts before a new set will be available. @Stadzy61 added to the list and @maxvdh added as tentative
