Hello, It's my first day of ferrarichat. and I need some help..
I have 1998 F355 F1 (ZFFXR41B000111395) and registered on FMK (korea ferrari dealer) My Red remote fob is not working and I only have one black remote fob that is working so I went to FMK for ordering the extra remote fob but what they say is there's not possible to order the remote fob only.. Because Red one is master and have to reinstall the whole security system for more than $3,000 (US).
Is there anyone knows how to get extra remote fob and programming?
If the Red remote is not working.. What shoud I do to get the extra remote fob?
Why is the Red one is so important? If anyone knows.. Pls give me some answers..
I really appreciate it.. Thank you for your concern..
ps.. sorry for my bad english..

    1) Replace the battery in the red FOB.

    2) As I understand it, you may need to press your red fob a few times to have it sync to the alarm system (up to 30 times)

    3) If that doesn't work you can buy a fob on ebay or otherwise and then get the black fob cloned by gobble or eric 355 on the forums.

    good luck!

On step 2, above, I don't have my owner's manual handy but I believe the procedure is stated therein for syncing after a fob battery change. My recollection's a bit hazy but I think you press the fob button three times within ten seconds, at which point the alarm should beep twice to acknowledge. You may have to run through this procedure two or three times before it successfully syncs.

This is a very scary scenario.

Is the red fob completely non functional? Is the red LED working, have you tried more than one battery and have you examined the solder joints inside it (using a magnifying glass)?

If your black fob is working then eric can clone it for you -then you will always have a spare - although by the time you need it, you may eed to press it 300X to get it "in sync" ...

Such fun we have with these cars!

Wow, you are brave - I am sure it'll work out fine as Eric is really great!

But you cannot drive the car till you get them back...

Anyhow.. In 4 years, I just drove only 5300km, so waiting is not the big matter to me.

All you need is the pin code, new set of fobs, and manual programming to make it all work again.... Pin code is the key!!!

I guess you already sent Eric the Red fob. I had the same problem the red fob worked fine I just had to program the car with the proper pin code. Then I programmed the two black fobs. Now all three work but the manually programming of the car was not straight forword at all.
