I would like to get My F355 a facelift. The leather look cracked in some places. Do I have the change the seats or can I get new leather for them?

Take your seats to a local auto upholstery shop and have them re-upholstered or dyed depending on your needs.
You can buy the individual skins from Ferrari but they will not be cost effective.

I asked the same question a week ago and everyone recommends Fernando in LA. He quoted me $2500 TOTAL for both seats. :)

GAHH in california makes PERFECT match to the factory covers. I bought mine from them, they even did a yellow offset thread for me, then I had a local upholestry shop put the covers on.

The connoly leather factory in england that made the leather for the ferraris closed.
However there is a company called UK HIDE in england that purchased all the stock from connoly ... so they still have the original AUTOLUX leather that was used in the ferraris.
To re upholster a complete 355 they told me that I would need 3 tan hides and 1/2 black hide at a cost of 3 grand .. approx.
When I first bought my 355 i was thinking on buying enough leather and save it just in case I ever needed it but .. at the end I did not do it.

I contacted UK Hide and I was wondering if anyone could answer my question. I wouldn't mind re-doing the entire leather in my 355, too. I was looking at options for getting the seats done, but was quoted $2500 for parts and labor from a shop in California. I live in Oregon. UK Hide can make the Cuio leather in 3-4 weeks and has the blue in stock for my upper dash and doors.

My question is: If I do the interior in OEM leather, and I condition it as religously as I do now, will it eventually shrink, also? SHould I go with another type of leather?
I would have to say that the people who buy Ferraris brand new probably do not condition their leather regularly.

Also, if I got the hides would I need to look for a shop that specializes in Ferrari restoration? Or do you think any high-end upholstery shop could tackle this labor-intensive job?

    Anyone have any thoughts???

Connoly leather was crap. It's the entire reason Ferrari interiors wore so bad in those years. I do not know a single high quality leather upholstery guy who would use it under any circumstance.

Gahh in L.A. and Reoriginals use far better leather, hell, everyone uses far better leather.

    GAHH leather is very nice.

You may also want to ask World Upholstery for a quote. Jamie and Mike have told me that they sell to Matt Jones or ReOriginals, so reducing the middleman may make this a lower cost option.

My only concern was the look of leather other than OEM. Will it be as soft and look good? If I only replace the seats, will the grade of the leather stick out over the OEM in the rest of the car?

Also, is this a job any decent upholstery shop could complete?
