Trying to solve my roof opening and closing problem. I have been through the bleeding procedure for the hydraulic system a couple of times and the system is close to working correctly, but seems as if the linkage is just slightly out of time between the two sides. The driver's side fork engages and disengages from the pin perfectly every time, but the passenger side seems to be just off timing to engage it's pin. Using the emergency override switch, if I stop the roof opening sequence just when the driver's side begins to engage, I can push the passenger side fork into position and the top will close, then open, but the second attempt to close results in the same problem with the passenger side fork missing the pin and stalling the operation.

Is there an adjustment in the linkage to compensate for this? Or is it still a hydraulic problem (air)?

    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Don

I have a similar problem but, in my case, its reversed from Don's. My problem is on the driver's side. The fork is slightly off alignment with the pin and, when raising the top, the tip of the fork hits the pin and locks up. If I keep momentarily lowering/raising back and forth several times, so far it eventually slips into position on the pin and then goes all the way up correctly (it goes down normally). FYI, I have not bled the system yet.

I don't see an adjustment anywhere that would fix this. I've thought about filing the end of the offending fork tip to create a bevel on the inside of the fork so it would still hit but then slide into position. However, before I do something non-stock I thought I would see if someone has a solution to get it back into correct alignment.

I loosened the three bracket mount bolts on the passenger side per the link provided by emac, rotated the bracket clockwise (looking at the bracket from inside the car) and tightened it down - the fork enagages and disengages perfectly! Ran several cycles and no problems.

Thanks emac - you have allowed me to end about a year of frustration!

That's great! No idea if that's an across the board issue and fix but good to know it worked for you.

Glad to hear that solved your problem Don. I'll try it on my car soon.
