does the stock exhaust have these mounting tabs (the ones the have '355' cut into them)? or is this specific to Tubi? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The stock exhaust shell is probably a fair bit larger and heavier. Those mounting tabs are only there because the aftermarket stuff is more compact by nature (less restrictive).
thanks for the reply. I'm trying to determine what exhaust is installed on my car. Was thinking it was the stock exhaust, but after a closer inspection i noticed the '355' tabs indicating that it is aftermarket. thinking the previous owner had a Tubi installed...
I bought a used aftermarket on here pulled my bumper off and realized I had a Tubi...My first 355 thought it was supposed to sound like that...Put on a set of hyper-frlows and a bypass controller will sound amazing
Lots of aftermarket exhausts have "355" there. Not just Tubi. eg. My Nouvalari exhaust does, and I'm pretty sure Capristo does too.
looks like the bumper is coming off, so i can ID whatever exhaust was installed... thanks for the replies!
If the brackets look -exactly- like the first pic, it's a Tubi. Capristo has separate pipes leading to each exhaust tip and the hanger bracket attaches to those pipes, not the top of the muffler case.
Also, if you still want to look at the exhaust, just remove the air boxes and the heat shield above the muffler. No reason to remove the bumper.
