    Here we go -

Driving a car is for most people a daily necessity.
For a few it's a pleasure, something to cherish.
Driving a Ferrrari is something you have to experience.
Unfortunately only a few people on the world did have that pleasure.
    <women's voice>
and again: Ferrari. And again: Spider. And a gain a perfect day on the Montenegro coast.
    And again a level road.

Let's sum up: the name Ferrari, synonym for sportcars, art, beauty, perfection and everything many just dream about.
Again the prancing horse is the main actor in our broadcast.
The second name, Spider, is the label for all convertible models of Ferrari, which makes it more expensive, more exclusive and even rarer right from the first day.
Whenever we mention Spider we remember the brutal sound of the V8 which in this case was enhanced by Haman Motor-Sport (?). The sound was reflected by the mountains over the sea (they used some poetic wording).

We mentioned the perfect and sunny day, which is a must for a drive with such a car on the level road near the village Bigova which is close to the sea. It has long straight sections as well as tight bends.
This is ideal to enjoy all characteristics of a Ferrari and to enjoy the drive.

In the year 1994 when the first 355 was produced everyone saw this as the evolution of a new chapter in the history of this Italian company.
This model was first by looks and then also in its use very balanced and you could drive it in a very well feeling way – like never before.
Apart from the Spider-Version which we present here there were two more: Berlinetta Coupé-Version and GTS with a targa top.
At the factory they call the GTS the first/birth version of this model, especially because of the small seats behind at the rear which was mostly used to store the top and not to carry passengers.

There was also a challenge version of the Berlinetta and for an extra US$ 30000 you could get the racing kit – however this could only be used on the Ferrari Challenge-Cup track.

In the year 1999 they produced a limited edition of the model 355 Fiorano - only 104 cars.
It was a modified Spider with better shock absorbers, a roll bar and ventilated disks(? I think they mean the breaks), racing brakes, more power and torque and carbonfibre.

Driving a Ferrari is something special. The typical position of the driver with extended arms and the low seat – this car does not hide its heritage and you never doubt about which car you drive.

To apply pressure on the gas pedal is an adventure that we already talked about while discussing thew 360: The incredible acceleration and the sound of the engine. (on the video you hear only music)
    --08:49
Steering and handling of this car is a result of the long formula 1 tradition.
Incredible stability – but only during exact and smooth driving.
The Ferrari 355 does not tolerance any overdoing in any kind of way. Any too early acceleration will lead to a wheel spin for which you need good reflexes and fast hands to get the car back on track again.
Apart from an ABS-System, an electronic
differential gear and a servo steering the 355 does not provide any other electronic helpers. Therefore may call this model the last “real” Ferrari.
    --10:22
(..description of the engine … nothing new here ….)

This car influenced the automobile industry in the 90ies: one iconic super car.
We were able to present you this car thanks to the kindness of its owner.
    (The guy at 11:30)

    Please note:
my friend did the original translation to German – he really did a great job!
I rather quickly translated it to English so it is not perfect and some meaning might have been altered due to 2 translations. So please bear with us.

and one personal note: I think the "information" is as bland as the video.

I made up my own words the first time I watched this. Now it makes more sense. They're still odd though.

Thanks for taking the time to post this translation. At times people can be rude around here, especially when one takes time out to do a favour. Thanks again:)

Hope all GTB and GTS owners take note of this...that is why Spiders rule...lol

Sorry dude, but the 355 GTS is lower production numbers than the spider. They did mention the small back seats, so I am not sure they had all their research done. Ha! :)
