    Engine compartment right side is ticking. My gut tells me its the exhaust( probably the right manifold). But, I hooked up a smoke machine to exhaust & I found no leak. The ticking is in time with the engine. So I'm just not finding the leak or its something else.

    is there a time bomb in there

    If its the manifold which it should be louder when cold

    Yep, definitely ticks louder when engine is cold. Heat must close the crack a little as the engine warms up. If its the manifold its got to be a small crack.
