I would go for a 360 ... but this is me. I do like the look and sound of the 355 better ...

Thanks chaps for the input. I have indeed searched through the forum re the headroom/legroom, tall driver issue, and whilst its interesting reading, there certainly seems quite a contrast of opinion on it!..suppose thats forums for you. Thanks for the JC link, havent seen that vid before, its excellant, and as you say it does demonstrate that Jez manages to squeeze into his even with big hair!. Unforutnatley no I havent had chance to drive a355 extensively and I am not sure how I could make that happen as I dont know anyone with one, and cannot imagine a dealer is going to let me loose in one for a whole day or more.
Quite happy now anyway that in fact I will fit, snugly, and as someone said that will be part of the fun..if I want space I wil take the RR....right on with the hunt for a decent example to populate my garage with!
    cheers

aren't the lovely sports/challenge (whatever they are called) seats for the 355 lower than the standard ones and would therefore help reduce that problem? mmh on second thought they might not be available in the US?

Chris, you really need to sit in any Ferrari you're considering, and with the gearbox you prefer. Your height, girth, relative arm and leg length, flexibility, etc., will determine whether the car fits you. In a manual gearbox-equipped car, the position of the gear lever and pedals obviously matter a great deal.

If you go to an FCA or FOC event and introduce yourself as someone trying to come to a decision, I would bet many owners would let you sit in their cars -- just wear clean pants and shoes and be careful getting in and out (i.e., don't drag your a$$ down the bolster).

I think you're based in the UK but I'm not clear if North or South but as mentioned most owners and/or dealers would be happy to let you have a sit to figure if you fit well - there's even a couple of 355 rental possibilities I believe

I am not a patient man, and indeed I have fallen in love with having a 355, so dont care if i need to shoe horn my carcass in there, I am having one, simply as at.
My height weight & even my gait are Jeremy Clarkson, unfortunatley some say I remind them of JC, obviously I am far better looking, but my body & mannerisms are very similar...so in a nutshell if 6'5" of JC bought one, then I will be ok.
Anyway bought one now, just going through cambelt service etc prior to delivery, so hopefully late next week I will be collecting it, will take my shoe horn with me!
1999 GTS red & crema 14k miles...looking forward to it to say the least!
