    HI!
    I just bought a 355 GTB, and it´s just great.My first Ferrari!

I´ve had a small problem with right turnings in high speed...the car lost power for a sec...electric problem I thought...But yesterday I was driving and reving from 1st,2 and 3!suddenly I lost power from the engine. It went on only 4 sylinder and the left side was dead...No warning lights...Exhaust from gearbox and all the left side was oveheated...GLOWING.

I waited 30 minutes for the engine to cool down...fired the engine but still only 4 sylinders working. Starts fine, but only 4 sylinders.
There was a bad smell..like roten eggs... when this happened.

Could it be a broken Cathalyst?
    Electric problem?
Any suggesstion on what the problem could be?

    rotten eggs=bad catalyst

there are good chances it might be broken...

my 355 spider had the right side slightly overheating, (no bad smell however) but it only needed tuning

My guess is the CAT ECU was shutting bank down or trying to maybe light did not glow because of a internal cat fault or a disconnected lamp?

DO NOT DRIVE IT until cat(s) replaced or risk your car catching on fire.

You may wish to change to aftermarket cats.

Is there a way to test tihis befor removing?
I hope that this is the problem.

    Best sound ever!

Jiiihaa....but...there must be a reason for this...and i guess it´s hard to find.

I guess the cathalyst is not the problem...

You are losing the ignition on the left bank. I would get this checked out...for the time being you could go through all the electrical connectors on the left side, clean them and treat them with Stabilant 22A. Check the connections to the coil, etc...

If you lose that side again, don't keep driving it...you could have a fire! Stop and shut it off.
