F360 door speakers

I know there are a few threads on this, but wanted to bring to some attention what I found. First when I got my 360 it had some Chinese aftermarket turd headunit. So I changed to the single din power acoustic. Having apple CarPlay and such was great but after fixing the wiring behind the unit I was a bit worried as the same time I fixed the wiring and replaced the headunit my drivers side speaker started popping something big.

the sound was horrible. Did some research and found the stock speakers are . So I bought some
Rockford R165X3 Coaxial 3-Way Speaker 6.5 inches (16.5 cm). Come to find out when I pulled the stock speakers out, all the rubber and foam was rotten. These were a tight but direct replacement. I did remove the screens from original speakers and removed the spacers from the Rockford and presto after some minor wiring.

Now it’s far from the best system I have had, but I would say it’s at least a 300% increase on volume and sound quality over stock.

speakers were like $100 I think. See a lot of people spending $1000’s and just wanted to share.
