I wonder has anyone ever converted the passenger side window in a 360 to have the one-touch operating facility enjoyed by the driver's side.

I know that there's a relay involved and I'm guessing the pax window switch may need to be replaced with another driver's switch but apart from that is there any reason it couldn't be done?

Just hold the button down for 5 seconds. Not a big deal. Are you really that lazy?

Not so much about lazy, more about convenience to be honest....

I checked the wiring diagrams and it seems there's no relay, the windows are controlled by their own ECU so I have a feeling that, much like the cruise control I'd also like to have, this project is a non-starter.

Safety. Driver-side windows can be one-touch because the driver is guaranteed to be an adult. Kids can ride in the passenger seat and can injure or kill themselves by one-touch closing power windows onto their own necks. Therefore, passenger window must be held.

If you convert your window and something happens or if you sell the car, I think you may be inviting liability.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

That may be the case but all of my other cars have one touch for both windows.

...I would prefer the driver's side window to operate like the passenger side. I hate the one-touch feature.

I would assume you could put the ECU of the drivers side onto the passenger side to have the same effect. Or visa versa.

They might have sensors to detect resistance should someone get their heads trapped in the window.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

That may be a possibility actually as the switches and motors seem to be wired the same on both sides of the car - at least if I'm reading the wiring diagram correctly... my only issue is the diagram doesn't show where the window ECUs are mounted.

I was led to believe that it is inside the door.

5 seconds? What do you think we are driving, 308/328's? LOL

i just wish the buttons were closer together so I could do them at the same time! That would save me 5 seconds!
