Sorry, I'm not familiar with the roof system at all on 360. I'd better leave this to the experts... but... sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Is the hex designed to be a manual override or is adjusting the hex simply having a side effect on the microswitch (say, allowing the ram to move more in a certain direction). Either way, it sounds like something is bent or there is a pressure or ram fault. On the F355 roof for example, sometimes the rams get bent and the ram doesn't extend fully (and the internal microswitches don't get activated). The switches on the 360 seem to be mostly external. I don't know if this a good or bad thing.
