    off the wall question for anyone, can a f40 or a f50 get over a uk spec speed bump, even the stupid ones that are like a little pyramid in the middle of the road :)

    The F50 can raise the nose up, so I would assume it could make it over one.

    There are also aftermarket pneumatic (I believe) systems for both cars.

    There are a few guys in here who have UK based F40's. From what I have read you have to go slow, but they can make it.

    Get a Roberuta front lifting system. IIRC around $2500. Brilliant little system and ride isn't affected whatsoever...There are a few Time attack cars who have it on there.

    Some euro F40's have the factory original optional nose lift system. But not sore that helps... the nose lift is more for changes in angle of pavement at driveway entrances and garage ramps.

    I never measured chin spoiler height vs mid car minimim ride height. I suspect they are close... so if the nose wont clear, the car woulld likely bottom out when the speedbump is between the axels...

    I avoided all speedbumps in my US car.

    The F50 is not a problem. The adjustable suspension clears all speed bumps, but you can also clear most of them without raising the car if you choose your line carefully

    On the F40: cars fitted with adjustable suspension can clear all speed bumps. Cars without adjustable suspension can only clear small speed bumps and they scrape the front bumper on all others

    Ditto on that. No problem with the adjustable suspension cars, which is why they are invaluable in city driving. I basically would not be able to get my car up a portion of my driveway if it wasn't for the adjustable suspension!
