...or the "that's how we roll" crew :D :D

most don't realize that if you sanded off the paint layer on a F40, the normal bodywork would be white & yellow, nomex and f-glass in parts ....wraps can actually be lighter than paint, so if done correctly, shouldn't be a weight penalty ....IMO prefer the factory rosso paint! :)

Rosso is best for every F40!

And for underpaint colour see pic. And some black carbon fiber is there also.

I think fake carbon fiber wrapping is a horrible trend.

Yes, but in this case it illustrates how awesome the car would look if it had real CF panels.

Hideous. It would still be hideous were it made out of real CF in that colour, but now it's on the brink of sacrilege. Thw words fake and Ferrari do not mix!

yes, that is the carbon-fiber & kevlar weave ....which gives it the yellow coloring when bare, so won't be the black-black carbon-fiber appearance that people expect it should be

the wrap isn't my taste, i prefere the original hair thin paint rosso myself :)

I agree, it's horrible, including use of it in interiors.

people are forgetting the sole origin of why CF is attractive and a symbol of motorsport in the first place.

I don't like the idea it's supposed to be CF, but I like the matte wrap concept on an F40...

Saw a black matte wrap on a race spec 430 last summer. It looked awesome.

Fake carbon fiber over real carbon fiber just strikes me funny on the F40, though.

F40 don't exactly have the beautiful perfect weave of a Pagani though under that red paint.

F40 coach work is actually very heavy, plenty of gel coat on top of the fabric (I've completely disassembled one for rebuild and mods).

    Best,
    Rob
