If German insurance companies are like America insurance companies they have a real problem on their hands.

I think, it should be possible for a 26 year old to drive such cars safe. 8 years of driving experience plus driver safety training. What else should they do?
At the end of the day, we know nothing and according to the saying Forrest Gump invented: "**** Happens".

No question about it. As I said I was driving the equivalent daily at that age (F40 was not out yet) but as for ferrying a valuable and very fast car in crappy weather and I had a choice between a 56 year old or a 26 year old I'd pick the 56 year old every time. Any insurance company in the world can explain why.

As far as insurance goes I can tell you with direct experience that in an exotic car dealership which operates under a very watchful eye of their insurance carrier anyway badly wrecking 2 Ferraris with young drivers will at the very least result in very severe driving restrictions being handed down.

Putting a bunch of males that love fast cars in a professional environment surrounded by the worlds fastest cars and driving them nearly daily absolutely every single time results in situations you do not experience at the Toyota dealer or anywhere else for that matter.
One of the Ferrari dealers I worked in, our President, our Sales Manager and our Shop Foreman were all prohibited from driving any cars related to the business. The other dealer our insurance carrier banned everyone under 25 from driving.
