Did the '91 or '92 F40's ever switch from Weber-Marelli to Bosh Motronic for their engine control system?

    Thanks

No, they are completely different systems altogether, it would have been a mammoth task

    fundamentally different-
Marelli is, essentially, a more "sensitive" secondary load sensor driven logarithmic speed density system-Examine the partial differential equation which they provide to calculate fuel management....the throttle position sensor is NOT linear, Injection firing-double nozzles(F-40)-more complex than abstract would suggest, but none the less utilizes a MAP sensor as the PRIMARY load sensor for the Map files in the 32 pin PROM chip in ECU....
the Bosch is ALSO a logarithmic speed density but bases it's "trimming" more heavily on slight shifts within the mapping files.... Bosch system based on the PRIMARY load sensor(usually a heated Platinum wire(LH) or, a Wheatstone bridge(HFM)- and only fuel "trimming"-so to speak-is effected utilizing TPS, air temp, cam angles, crank positions as "secondary" or auxilliary LOAD sensors

its been decades since we had to fiddle around with this stuff like this-small volume certs and suc
