Anyone have a muffler for a 1982 f40 that you want to sell?
I have a tubi. Looks nice. Sounds nice. I don't know what the alternatives are, though. One thing to know is that the turbos do a pretty good job muffling the sound and while the car is not quiet by any means, it's not as loud as you might think it would be.
I've currently got some larinis on mine and an thinking of changing them. Anyone out there with a set of tubi and an original? Or anyone else with any other exhaust that recommends what they're running?
It depends what you want really. If you want spasticly loud, get a Tubi LM Inconel (also extremely light weight, F1 exhausts are made of it ). If you want quiet, not much better than stock I would say... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYAEqnHjMIA[/ame]
Nope I'm not sure of which version it is but it's 3 cans. I'm really thinking of the tubi race spec, who sells it for the cheapest?

I don't know where you are or who your mechanic is but you might want to talk someone with some F40 experience before you buy anything. Different pipes have different effects on the car, sometimes not so desirable.
i was just at the silverstone classic 25 year anniversary party for the f40, and i dont think i saw any other aftermarket exhaust other than the same tubi that i have. and they definitely sound better than the stock one.
That video is my car and it is very loud but for all the time you spend driving the F40 it is amazing. Its a race car on the road, make it sound like one! The system is not Iconnel though it is merely three straight pipes, it is the Tubi LM system. What you might experience with any new exhaust on the F40 is some misfires or over boosting and my exhaust is currently off the car, it will be refitted next year and will be remapped to suit.
It is not iconel. It is this: http://www.tubistyle-australia.com/products/01019122000_F-40_01019122000.jpg
