That F40 is perfect.

 

Both look amazing, especially the F40! Not really feeling the rear grill on the F50 though...

 

so thats what happened to the stollen f50.....

i love it.... but i think the f50 needs the stock rear grille but otherwise looks great. the f40 really looks menacing!
big fan of the wheels too... they can remove the stickers on them, but really nice!

So that F50 was stolen from the US and yet its being used as promotion for this modifying company? If I was the owner of the F50 when it wa sstolen I would probably have a heart attack.

What would you do if your car (Ferrari, BMW, VW, whatever) was stolen and then you see pictures of it on the internet, complete with a brand new paint job and wheels?

 

They're both amazing. Especially the the F40, on the F50 I would leave the original rear grill and have the rear diffuser in raw carbon fiber. just MHO.

I wasnt reffering to your post but this F50 was discussed on another thread recently and it is believed that it is the one that was stolen. I just think its ridiculous that Liberty Walk is using this for promotion.

 

The F40 is just amazing.. For the F50 I would put the original rear grill back and paint the extractor in black or carbon..

 

Is this speculation or 100% the truth?

Yuck! F50 had an awful rear grill, I do like the F40 however.

Marcel is very reliable when it comes to this kind of info so I will take his word for it. I would genuinely be surprised if he was wrong.

Oh, come on.

No auto body shop worker has EVER asked for the slightest documentation that I am the rightful owner of any of the cars I have brought in for service. Wouldn't most of you be insulted if they did?

The body shop works in good faith. It has never, to my knowledge, been the responsibility of the mechanics or other auto service providers to identify the cars that might be stolen.

 

I see your point, but I would think it might be a tad different for a F50.......either way I hope the truth comes out soon!

 

+1, if he posts it, I will believe it. However, his post doesn't necessarily link it to this F50. Would not be surprised if there were multiple white F50s in Japan.

It is a bit surprising. However, LW doesn't own these cars (I assume), they were just paid to modify. They put cash in pocket, get positive publicity. If down the road the car gets repossessed in some fashion, (assuming this is the stolen car) they aren't out a dime. Reputation is another story.

 

First off, there are at least 2 white F50's

Secondly, it was a different F50 that was stolen in Italy as opposed to the F50 that was stolen in the US


So, yes, this F50 could be a stolen F50 but it was stolen from Italy and not Algar in the US



Finally, Japanese authorities are not known for helping people from other countries get back their cars. In fact, they are known for not helping. So yes, if this was my F50, i'd be pissed but the tuning company isn't really risking anything since its unlikely the car will be leaving Japan anyway
