Looks like a flake/fraud/poseur/whatever, no physical address, poor site, improper use of manufacturer's logos, crashed cars etc.......anyone who has been "selling exotics for 10 years" should be connected enough that they could surely make 1-2 phone calls and get $650K for a Veyron that lists new for $1.5MM...........

Hey guys, thanks for the advice.

I am not related to this guys or website whatsoever. I was just interested in the F40 but my nose told me that there´s something wrong and that´s why I´ve asked for some advice on this forum. Sorry that I have started my first post with a question to a car site!

And yes, the doofus posted this question already earlier under a different user name. But I was told by admin that I can´t use my company name as a user id due to forum rules that´s why I had to change it!

Anyways, this forum is great and it´s fun to read the threads.

Joe talk to the other "Joe" here if you are looking for a real F40. Spend the money up front to get a solid car or you will have to pay later in repairs anyway...

Good price for a Veyron if it is just an owner looking for a quick sell.

and after seeing the F40 gas tank issue posted elsewhere, make sure it isn't a garage queen.

    Rik:

I think the deterioration that occurs within F40s gas tanks, bell-housing lining, and any other deterioration issues you might think of, are a function of time rather than mileage. The USA cars are between 17 and 19 years old and these issues are seen randomly within any car irrespective of mileage.

I think Frefan's own car proves the point as it is not what I understand to be a garage queen.

I have seen ultra-low mileage cars that have in fact been meticulously maintained irrespective of the lack of driving miles, so one cannot conclude that cars that are not driven much have simply been abandoned without care.

A car with a couple thousand recent miles is certainly preferable as it gives cause to think that it may well have faced any issues and been re-commissioned, but sadly I fear from personal experience that this is not the case as a rule!

The best bet is to simply take each car for what it is and check it out accordingly.

    hmmm.... ok :)

but i was wondering why the posted URL was to the main site:
    http://www.fineluxurycarsbroker.com/

... and not to the car page:
    http://www.fineluxurycarsbroker.com/id2.html

Seems like all the cars were in accidents? Not sure how that translates to "fine" luxury cars....

    It's like saying:
"Get the best Rolex watches here! They've been smashed with a rock and then polished up... but they're the finest watches ever!" :)

anyway, it seems like the staff is comprised of at least these 3 people, including the President who "has owned many [exotic] cars" and the Op Manager who "does an excellent job". He even has a Secretatry who is in charge of all the "info"! :)

    http://www.fineluxurycarsbroker.com/id1.html
The History is a bit sketchy though, since I don't understand how they have so many customers they claim to have, with just a few "accident" cars.

Also, as you guys pointed out, there's no physical address, and the phone number is for the "shop" and not for the office or showroom.

And if this is an honest business with good-priced cars, then more power to him.. and best of luck! :D

    Agree somewhat:

What I was thinking were the comments made that the most noticed to deteriorate were those left sitting with 'old' un-recycled fuel. There appears from what I've been told, that over time, un-circulated or left standing fuel breaks down and attacks the rubber areas. Could be a winter vs summer or high octane or ??, but seems there is a slight correlation to persons housing their models and not replacing the fuel in the tank. IF they had done so on a regular basis, the break downs might not occure.

But I am only relating from others. I have no first hand knowledge. Know you visited this thread http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238006
where it seemed a problem though I know he drives his car. Not sure it's been sorted out yet, or truly know the cause, but was interesting as other vehicles might experience similar issues. The way I found such deduction was in my inquiry, as I have an older 17+ year car, and was concerned. But I drain that tank on a regular basis, and it see a lot of road time...so, probably not going to be a very soon problem.

The problem is worse in some places as some States have winter mixes that have a lot of Ethanol which attacks fuel systems.

    We use:

    http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/stabil/default.aspx

year round in everything and have found it really works. The trick is to start and fully warm up every car you own at least every three weeks. You can also replace fuel lines with high tech lines like the ones they use in the IRL or F1 cars. The fuel they use is pretty nasty and if lines and fittings can stand up to that they can last for a long time in street cars. You're right that regular use and not letting fuel get stale is a big help. On our older cars we mix in a touch of Go Kart racing oil as well.
It smokes a bit but the motors and systems seem to like it.

Remember to have tail pipe ventilation systems if you run cars in a garage. I'd also have a good CO alarm system.
