Anyone have the history on this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220972797073+&viewitem=#vi-content
Shucks, sad to see one potentially leave the area. FYI, most if not all of the ad pics were taken in front of this shop: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=336027&p=141247995
No offense to the seller, because it's obviously a great car. But, for a 600k car I would want to see a little info and some better pictures, even if it's probably on ebay for exposure alone.
If you click on the link to the photo galley you can see a lot more pics. Being sold by: http://go2autosales.com/index.html $600K for an F40 is rather optimistic but what do i know.
I believe Napolis once said that these cars are all valued at what someone is willing to pay for them. He probably put the price high to see what he can get for it.
usa models tend to price higher since there were fewer of that specification. mine is a '90 but my seats look different than these. are these standard for usa models?
Anyone else notice something odd with the "Sales Hours"? I will give you a hint...if it is 6 PM in NYC, what time is it in NOLA? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chassis number 87144 is indeed a 1990 USA F40, the 84th example built. I don't have any specific history otherwise.
Wow, that is quite an impressive collection in front of his shop: http://www.lindseyautomotive.com/about-us.html
I believe he would be a useful person to contact regarding this F40. The TR & F50 were both owned by Jim Spiro when imaged in front of the shop.
Yep and I've had the pleasure of seeing each of those beauties at one time or another. Details, details, details.
Sadly most of these cars are no longer in the area. It was glorious to see the TR and the Breadvan out together- likely not to happen again.
I don't know that specific car personally but I do know the seller byercorp quite well, have bought many cars from him, including my 40 and 50. He also deals quite a bit in Rolls Royce.
It certainly looks that way. I notice however that this car has the '"fabric separation" that afflicts some car's seats making it wrinkled rather than smooth, if you know what I mean. The adhesive disintegrates over time and the Nomex separates from the foam... easy fix though.
Joe I hope to contact you after Mega Millions tonight I'll be the one looking for a whole set of Supercars
