F40: How to remove the headliner?

    Need to have the headliner redone as it is sagging.

    Anyone have any instructions on removing it so i can give to a leather specialist?

    PS it ain't leather. Hide of the wild Nauga and easy to re-glue; did mine myself. Other than the wheel, I don't think there is a natural fiber anywhere in or on an F40

    It may indeed be true that Naugas are of the Genus Fiat.

    On a more serious note, the headliner is a single fiberglass piece, so you have to remove the visors, and the trim above the doors and so on. It is pretty obvious and takes only a few minutes with a Phillips screwdriver.

    Hey Joe Just curious, Almost every headliner that I see in F40's that Ive driven is white. Mine is black. Is there some point that they changed the color used?

    I have talked with the original owner of the car and he says it was a black headliner when he bought the car new in 1993. Go figure. BTW Peloton this would not be a good candidate for the Classiche program anyway. It has a new oddities done to the car from the past of which I have undone most but not all!!

    It may well be that the interior re-configuration you are aware of was done before he bought it, but the car was built by the factory to standard spec so when delivered in 1992 it would have had grey-white headliner.
